I am an adaptive engineer with many interests. While my undergraduate studies focused in biomechanics and biomaterials, my professional work has led me into medical image processing, 3D scanning, CAD drafting, manufacturing, process devlopment, and metrology applied beyond the medical device industry. I look forward to all opportunities to apply my effort, skills, and continually growing knowledge to new challenges and settings.

Interdisciplinary Studies

Before my time in the office and on shop floor, I spent some time in biological and chemical laboratories observing cell cultures and learning about organic compound purification during my undergraduate academic career. My studies in biomedical engineering included course and project work in mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, design, mechanical and electrical engineering, and material science.

Biomedical Models & Anatomical Engineering

My early technical work has focused on the creation of custom and patient-specific anatomical models for various medical applications including surgical planning, implant design, medical device testing, biomedical research, and healthcare training.

I have contributed to the production and development of models used in implant dentistry, craniofacial surgery, cardiovascular and orthopedic studies, neurosurgical simulation, radiology and oncology research, forensic investigation, and pharmaceutical illustration.


Research & Development

Over the years I have gladly help inventors and entrepreneurs develop initial concepts into further refined mechanically-oriented designs and physical prototypes. Individual projects have varied from molded electrical housing components, microfluidic tools, and medical device packaging to art fixtures, entomological museum models, and sculpted ‘monster’ motorcycle helmets.
